BYD Seal

Fuel Contamination Remediation Standards

⚠️ BYD Seal — Not applicable misfuel risk

No petrol or diesel tank. Wrong-fluid events involve washer fluid, coolant, or AdBlue mis-fill on PHEV variants only.

If the engine was not started

Keep ignition off; do not charge the high-voltage battery until the incorrect fluid is removed.

If the engine was started

If the vehicle was driven, inspect for damage to pumps, modules, or HV components per OEM inspection checklist.

⚠️ BYD position — Seal

BYD prescribes high-voltage safety and fluid-spec procedures in NZ service information. Factory warranty excludes damage from incorrect fluids or misuse. Contaminated liquids must be disposed per HSWA 2015 and regional council requirements.
