OEM access procedure

  1. Do not start the engine. Secure the vehicle and keep ignition off.
  2. Relieve fuel system pressure per OEM service information (fuel pump fuse/relay procedure).
  3. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
  4. Access the in-tank fuel pump module using the OEM access panel or tank removal method for this model.
  5. Disconnect electrical connector and fuel lines; cap lines to limit vapour release.
  6. Remove the pump lock ring with the specified tool; extract contaminated fuel with approved equipment.
  7. Inspect the tank interior; replace filter and O-rings as specified.
  8. Reassemble, prime the system, check for leaks, and clear fault codes before road test.
