⚠️ Stellantis Position (Mopar)
“Warranties do not cover damage caused by contaminated fuels, or the use of fuels other than those recommended in your Owners Manual”
Stellantis (via Mopar service documentation) prescribes fuel tank removal and fuel pump access panel removal as the procedures for accessing fuel tank contents. Filler neck extraction is not a manufacturer-documented procedure.

⚠️ European Diesel Vehicles - High Misfuel Risk
Stellantis European diesel vehicles (Peugeot, Citroën, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Opel) commonly use high-pressure common rail fuel systems. These are particularly sensitive to petrol contamination:
- Do NOT start the engine if wrong fuel is suspected
- Priming pump may activate with ignition
- Full tank removal and system flush typically required
- Fuel injectors may require replacement if contaminated fuel circulated
