✓ Tesla Vehicles Cannot Be Misfuelled

Tesla manufactures only battery electric vehicles (BEVs). As pure electric vehicles, Teslas have no fuel tank, fuel pump, or fuel lines. They cannot be misfuelled because there is no fuel system to contaminate.

Why Tesla Cannot Be Misfuelled

Tesla vehicles are 100% battery electric. They feature:

  • No fuel tank - Battery pack stores energy
  • No fuel pump - Electric motors draw power from battery
  • No fuel lines - High-voltage cables connect battery to motors
  • No exhaust system - Zero emissions operation
  • Charging port only - Cannot accept liquid fuel

Charging Infrastructure

Tesla vehicles charge via:

  • Tesla Supercharger network (DC fast charging)
  • Tesla Wall Connector (home charging)
  • Third-party CCS charging stations (with adapter)
  • Standard household outlets (slow charging)
