🔋 Hybrid Vehicle Notice
The Toyota Aqua is a petrol-electric hybrid vehicle. It does NOT have a diesel variant. Contamination typically occurs from:
- Water ingress (fuel station contamination)
- Incorrect fuel grade (E10 vs regular)
- Storage/old fuel degradation
The Aqua cannot be misfuelled with diesel as petrol nozzles are incompatible with diesel filler necks.

Procedure Summary
- Ensure vehicle is READY OFF (not in READY mode)
- Disconnect 12V auxiliary battery
- Remove rear seat cushion
- Remove access panel cover
- Disconnect fuel pump connector and lines
- Remove fuel pump lock ring
- Extract contaminated fuel
- Replace fuel filter if required
- Reinstall with new seal
- Refill with correct fuel grade
