  • Relieve fuel system pressure
  • Disconnect battery ground cable
  • Drain fuel tank using approved fuel recovery equipment
  • Raise vehicle and support safely
  • Disconnect fuel filler pipe
  • Disconnect fuel lines at tank (note quick-connect procedures)
  • Disconnect electrical connectors
  • Support fuel tank with suitable jack
  • Remove fuel tank straps
  • Lower fuel tank”
