Fuel Tank Removal (D-Max)

WARNING: Fire hazard. Work in well-ventilated area away from sparks and flame.

  • Disconnect negative battery terminal
  • Remove fuel pump relay and start engine until stall to release pressure
  • Remove rear seat and access fuel pump connector
  • Drain fuel using approved fuel recovery equipment
  • Raise vehicle on hoist
  • Disconnect fuel filler hose and vent hose
  • Disconnect fuel feed and return lines
  • Support fuel tank with suitable jack
  • Remove fuel tank strap bolts
  • Lower fuel tank”
