⚠️ Toyota Manufacturer Position
Toyota prescribes fuel pump access panel removal as the primary procedure for accessing fuel tank contents on the RAV4.
The RAV4 features a fuel pump access panel, allowing fuel pump module removal without full tank drop.
Warranty Position: Toyota classifies fuel contamination (misfuelling) as “vehicle misuse” which is excluded from warranty coverage.
